Art for the Afterlife?

Moose and deer adorn the rubbing of an ancient petroglyph found at a Sythian burial mound, or kurgan. A number of rock slabs with petroglyphs were brought here from nearby cliffs. Dating to the 7th century B.C., they were created at roughly the same time as the kurgan.
