In remarkable shape after 2,700 years, a painted wooden statuette from Luxor represents a divine trinity—Ptah, Sokar, and Osiris—worshiped by a cult in the late dynastic period. Discovered in a tomb built in the 18th dynasty and reused for the next four centuries, the statuette was most likely buried with a 25th-dynasty official from the ancient capital of Thebes. The yellow band down its front should have an inscription but inexplicably is blank.
